About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an armed security officer in Puerto Rico to provide security across a variety of industries, including factories, retail stores, shopping centers, pharmaceutical companies, and corporate campuses. Work environments and conditions may vary depending on the client site. The role involves customer service, security procedures, site-specific policies, emergency response when applicable, regular and random patrols, and receiving and directing employees or visitors according to establishment rules and assigned post orders.

The position offers rotating, full-time schedules. Pay is $25.00 per hour. Applicants must meet the listed age, education or experience, language, licensing, customer-service, scheduling, background-screening, and drug-screening conditions. A valid Puerto Rico driver’s license and current Puerto Rico armed license are required.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Be available for rotating schedules and weekly itineraries.
• Be fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English; English is required for bilingual positions.
• Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Be subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Have a valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
• Have a current armed license in the jurisdiction of Puerto Rico.
• Have customer-service skills.
• Be available for credentialing processes and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security and safety procedures, site-specific policies, and, when applicable, emergency-response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Receive and direct employees and/or visitors in reception areas according to establishment rules and assigned post orders.
