About The Position

The Guard Shack maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring KeHE facilities. The role monitors facility access, directs drivers and vehicles, records visitor details and security observations, and reports suspicious activity to local police. The position is listed as full-time, Monday through Friday, with a shift starting at 11:00 PM; the posting also gives hours of 7:00 PM–3:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Takes initiative, is detail-oriented, and works well independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Politeness and courteousness.
• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts.
• Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points, permit entry to employees, and prevent unauthorized people from entering.
• Direct drivers and control traffic.
• Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses and obtain signatures.
• Comply with legal requirements to help maintain the organization's stability and reputation.
• Maintain a log of each individual's name, purpose of visit, and entry and exit times.
• Report suspicious acts on the premises to local police.
• Direct vehicles around the building and ensure vehicles are safe while on the premises.
• Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties assigned by management.
