GTM Engineer

MonqNew York, NY
$65,000 - $130,000Hybrid

About The Position

Procurement is a $4.2 trillion market where strategic decisions worth millions are still made manually — fragmented data, weeks of preparation, and negotiations run on instinct rather than intelligence. Monq changes that. We've built an AI negotiation engine that sits inside enterprise procurement workflows, giving teams the strategic clarity to negotiate faster and win better terms. We're now hiring a GTM Engineer to build the machine that finds our next hundred customers. You won't be dialing through a static list — you'll be designing the systems that identify the right enterprises at the right moment, engineering outbound that reads like it was written by someone who studied the account for a week, and compressing what a traditional SDR team does in a month into a single automated workflow. This is a builder's role inside the commercial team: part revenue operator, part engineer, reporting directly to the founding team. Ready to prove that one person with the right systems can outperform an entire outbound team? Let's get in touch.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a GTM engineering, growth, sales development, or revenue operations role — ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software — with verifiable pipeline or revenue outcomes you engineered yourself
  • Hands-on proficiency with the modern GTM stack: enrichment and orchestration platforms (Clay or equivalent), sequencing tools, CRM administration, and API-based integrations between them
  • Demonstrated ability to use LLMs beyond chat — you've built prompts, chains, or agents into a working revenue workflow, not just experimented on the side
  • Evidence of systems you built independently that produced measurable results — a workflow you designed, an experiment you ran, a process you automated end to end
  • Comfortable operating where the process is still being defined — you build structure rather than relying on it
  • Analytical by default — you form hypotheses, test them against data, and change course without ego when the numbers disagree
  • Write outbound copy that senior procurement and finance executives actually answer — concise, specific, and grounded in their business
  • Enough genuine interest in AI and procurement to hold a substantive conversation with sophisticated buyers about the problem Monq solves

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or JavaScript for data manipulation and workflow automation
  • Experience in procurement technology, supply chain software, or enterprise SaaS
  • Background targeting energy, retail, manufacturing, or financial services — Monq's core verticals
  • Previous experience in an early-stage company where you contributed to building the GTM function from scratch

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own the outbound engine — signal detection, account scoring, enrichment, and multi-channel sequencing — using tools like Clay, Apollo, HeyReach, and LLM-powered workflows
  • Turn buying signals into pipeline: new CPO appointments, ERP migrations, cost-reduction mandates, earnings-call language, and procurement transformation announcements across our target verticals
  • Generate and qualify enterprise opportunities for the US market, owning the motion from first signal to a qualified meeting handed to the Account Executive team
  • Build and maintain the data infrastructure behind the commercial motion — CRM hygiene, enrichment pipelines, lead routing, and attribution — so every rep works from clean, current, actionable data
  • Prototype AI agents for research, personalization, and follow-up, then productionize the ones that work; kill the ones that don't, fast
  • Instrument everything: define the metrics, build the dashboards, and run the experiments that tell us which messages, channels, and segments actually convert
  • Work directly with the founders — what you learn from signal data, reply patterns, and prospect conversations feeds into positioning, pricing, and the product roadmap in real time
  • Codify what works into repeatable playbooks; the systems you build become the foundation the entire US GTM team scales on
  • Partner with Account Executives on strategic accounts, engineering bespoke research and outreach for the deals that matter most

Benefits

  • Significant equity stake
  • Bi-annual performance bonuses tied to qualified pipeline generated and revenue outcomes
  • Visa sponsorship available for exceptional candidates who complete our recruitment process
  • Opportunity to define the GTM engineering discipline for AI-powered enterprise negotiations — and to lead the function as it scales
  • Direct mentorship from founders with backgrounds at Revolut and HSBC
  • No HR organisation
  • Minimum 30 days of annual leave and a day off in the month of your birthday
  • Flexible working hours as long as we get the things done
  • Temporary work from abroad up to 120 days a year (certain limitations apply depending on your nationality/work authorisation status and tax obligations)
