GTM Engineer

Rippling•San Francisco, CA
•$146,400 - $244,000

About The Position

Rippling is hiring a GTM Engineer to build and scale the growth engine for Rippling IT. The role combines buyer insight, technical depth, analytical rigor, and go-to-market creativity to develop repeatable growth strategies across paid channels, cross-sell, SDR outreach, lifecycle marketing, and product launches. Rippling IT unifies identity, devices, and compliance on one platform, and is one of the company’s strategic, fast-growing business lines with an ambitious roadmap of launches. The GTM Engineer will work closely with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, BizOps, Product, and the IT GM to diagnose growth bottlenecks, build systems and programs to address them, and scale successful motions through existing teams. The role requires moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution, influencing across functions, and turning analysis into shipped GTM programs.

Requirements

  • Experience in growth, GTM engineering, growth marketing, BizOps, RevOps, or another technical growth role at a high-growth B2B company; demonstrated range and impact matter more than exact title.
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort using data, AI, automation, and modern GTM tooling to build scalable systems.
  • Track record of identifying growth opportunities, prioritizing effectively, shipping experiments or programs, and scaling what works across teams.
  • Excellent analytical judgment and ability to investigate deeply without getting trapped in analysis or local optimization.
  • Strong cross-functional influence and ability to get work done through people across sales, marketing, operations, product, and leadership who are not direct reports.
  • High clock speed, low ego, and bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • A clear, demonstrated point of view on AI in GTM and daily use of AI to change how growth work gets done.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an ongoing understanding of IT buyers through customer conversations, sales calls, win/loss analysis, product usage, competitive research, and funnel data, and use insights to reshape GTM strategy.
  • Own high-leverage growth programs from problem diagnosis and buyer insight through testing, measurement, and scaled rollout.
  • Turn validated buyer and product insights into coordinated growth plays across acquisition, cross-sell, SDR, lifecycle, field, partner, and product launch channels.
  • Build AI-native, technically sophisticated GTM workflows for prospecting, audience building, enrichment, personalization, experimentation, routing, and campaign automation.
  • Identify funnel and pipeline bottlenecks and partner with RevOps, BizOps, GTM engineering, marketing, and sales to remove them.
  • Partner with cross-sell marketing to develop programs that convert HR and Finance customers into IT customers.
  • Partner with product marketing and demand generation on launches for new IT products.
  • Move between strategy and execution by building models, writing briefs, inspecting data, pressure-testing messaging, and advancing work to completion.
  • Create repeatable systems, playbooks, and experiments that increase the effectiveness and scalability of the central IT GTM team.
