About The Position

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s state-funded, nationally recognized Pre-K program for 4-year-olds. The GSRP Aide supports Lead and Associate Teachers in preparing children for Kindergarten and beyond by helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment. The role involves supporting classroom routines and daily activities, following applicable guidelines to protect children’s health and safety, helping maintain an organized and clean learning space, and building positive relationships with children while assisting with age-appropriate activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Passion for helping children learn and grow.
• Dependability, energy, and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• Early childhood coursework or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom routines and help with daily activities, meals, and transitions.
• Follow licensing, grant, and center guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all children.
• Assist with classroom setup, organization, and maintaining a clean learning space.
• Build positive relationships with children and help implement fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Support Lead and Associate Teachers in preparing children for Kindergarten and beyond.
