About The Position
The YMCA of Central Texas is hiring a full-time Teacher’s Aide at its Child Development Center in Round Rock. The role supports teachers as they guide children through the daily curriculum. The center serves children from 8 weeks through 5 years old, and the aide may work with children across all age groups, supporting their daily routines and activities. The position is based at 1812 N. Mays St., Round Rock, TX 78664. Available hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Pay is $13.50 to $16.00 per hour. A $500 bonus is offered for new staff.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be genuinely interested in a career in early childhood education.
- Pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with art projects and mealtimes.
- Help with diaper changing and toileting.
- Sing songs with children.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Help create a fun, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
- Support children’s daily routines and activities across age groups.
