About The Position

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a full-time Teacher’s Aide for its Child Development Center in Round Rock. The aide supports teachers as they guide children through the daily curriculum and works with children from 8 weeks through 5 years old across all age groups. The role supports children’s daily routines and activities and helps maintain a fun, safe, nurturing learning environment.

The position is located at 1812 N. Mays St., Round Rock, TX 78664. The available schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Pay is $13.50 to $16.00 per hour. A $500 bonus is offered for new staff.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in a career in early childhood education.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers as they guide children through the daily curriculum.
• Assist with art projects and mealtimes.
• Help with diaper changing and toileting.
• Sing songs with children.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
• Help create a fun, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
• Support children’s daily routines and activities across all age groups.
