About The Position

The GSRP Aide provides supervision and support to preschool students during lunch and the noon-hour period. The position helps maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment while assisting students with meals, transitions, and age-appropriate activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to supervise and interact with children in a positive manner.
Strong communication skills, patience, dependability, and organizational skills.
Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with teachers and school staff.
Must meet applicable employment requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with preschool or young children.

Responsibilities

Supervise GSRP students during lunch, recess, and noon-hour activities.
Assist students with opening food items, cleaning up, and practicing appropriate mealtime routines.
Monitor students to promote safety and positive behavior.
Support student transitions between the classroom, cafeteria, playground, and other designated areas.
Encourage independence, appropriate social interaction, and respectful behavior.
Help maintain a clean and orderly lunch and activity area.
Follow established procedures regarding student health, safety, allergies, and dietary needs.
Communicate student concerns, incidents, or unusual situations to the classroom teacher or appropriate school staff.
Follow GSRP, school, and Leona Michigan Education Group policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
