GSRP Lead Teacher
About The Position
Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center in Clarkston is seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher for its early childhood education team. The teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of pre-kindergarten-aged children. The role plans and delivers developmentally appropriate activities using the High Scope curriculum, responds to each child's individual needs, fosters strong family partnerships, and collaborates with staff to help prepare children for future success. The position is regular, full-time, and benefit eligible for the 2026–2027 school year. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The desired start is ASAP. Pay is $25–$30 per hour, based on degree and years of experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or in child development with a specialization in preschool teaching; or a valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA), Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS), Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement.
- CPR certification is required; it may be completed within 30 days of hire.
- Willingness to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Childcare Licensing guidelines for ECE teachers.
- Full-time availability and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
