GSRP Lead Teacher
About The Position
Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center in Clarkston is seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher for its early childhood education team. The teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of pre-kindergarten-aged children. The Lead GSRP Teacher will plan and execute a developmentally appropriate program of activities using the High Scope curriculum, meeting each child’s individual needs. The role also involves fostering strong partnerships with families and collaborating with staff to help prepare every child for future success. The position is regular, full-time, and benefit eligible for the 2026–2027 school year. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with an ASAP desired start. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour, based on degree and years of experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or in child development with a specialization in preschool teaching; or a valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA), Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS), Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement.
- CPR certification is required and may be completed within 30 days of hire.
- Willingness to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Childcare Licensing guidelines for ECE teachers.
- Full-time availability and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
