About The Position

Unifi Maintenance is seeking technicians at all skill levels to join its technical operations team and help maintain fleet reliability and operational readiness. The role may suit people starting out in maintenance as well as experienced technicians who can independently perform diagnostics, major repairs, and complex troubleshooting on fleet vehicles and employee shuttle buses. The position supports technical career development through training, leadership engagement, and company support.

The pay range is $26–$44 per hour, based on skills, experience, and certifications. Additional pay of up to $4.50 per hour is available for ASE and A/C certifications. The role is based in Memphis, Tennessee, and offers A.M. and P.M. shifts. It is full-time and non-exempt.

Requirements

• Maintenance experience and knowledge of vehicle servicing.
• Ability to work independently, with supervision as required.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Four to six years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Multiple ASE certifications.
• CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Experience with fleet maintenance following DOT standards.
• Refrigeration, HVAC, or advanced electrical certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, diesel, gasoline, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and computerized vehicle systems.
• Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs.
• Use diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Conduct detailed inspections to ensure compliance with company safety standards and DOT regulations.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Mechanic I and Mechanic II employees.
• Assist with repair planning, parts procurement, and inventory control.
• Verify the quality of completed repairs and maintenance activities.
• Support emergency roadside and operational repairs as required.
• Recommend process improvements to increase fleet reliability and efficiency.
• Perform other duties within technical capabilities and experience.
