GSE Technician
About The Position
The GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs on ACI Jet’s ground support equipment. The role calls for experience in at least one industry-standard automotive or equipment-maintenance trade, such as diesel, battery-powered equipment, fuel-handling equipment, generators, or hydraulics and pneumatics. The technician is expected to maintain positive, professional, and productive relationships with ACI Jet employees, vendors, and clients. The technician reports directly to the GSE/QC Lead. The position may also include assisting with minor facility maintenance and repairs. The listed pay range is $23.50–$34.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Basic operating knowledge of and experience with tools and equipment used for the stated maintenance and repair duties.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of diesel experience.
- One or more years of equipment repair experience.
- MIG and stick welding experience.
Responsibilities
- Help achieve GSE department goals and objectives in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including equipment involving diesel engines, batteries, fuel handling, generators, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Observe the condition and appearance of ground support equipment and report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services to the GSE/QC Lead.
- Use a company vehicle to retrieve supplies and materials needed for GSE maintenance duties and projects.
- Respond to ACI Jet maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner using approved maintenance tracking and communication platforms.
- Promote the safety and quality of assigned work by participating actively and positively in ACI Jet’s SQMS program.
- Assist with facility maintenance assignments, including minor building maintenance and repairs, as needed.
- Regularly manage GSE department tools, parts, and supplies inventory.
