Sylvamo•Eastover, SC

About The Position

Sylvamo’s Global Sourcing Associate Program is an entry-level program focused on procurement operations. It provides exposure to the company’s procurement strategy and purchasing processes, from corporate category sourcing through implementation and ongoing activities at manufacturing locations. The program is intended to prepare associates for potential placement in a manufacturing or corporate sourcing role at a North America location. Associates complete an 18-month development assignment at a paper mill or corporate office. During the assignment, they build foundational knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing and the integrated supply chain supporting mill operations. They perform a variety of purchasing and/or storeroom assignments with guidance from managers and team members, developing skills in purchase order management, competitive bidding, negotiation, contract development, data analysis, materials management, and inventory optimization. Associates are assigned to one U.S. location for the program and may share location preferences, though final placement depends on availability. After completing the program, they may apply for a permanent role at any North America location.
