About The Position

Support growth initiatives from initial customer acquisition through activation and paid conversion, helping customers quickly understand Mailchimp's value, choose the right offering, and successfully get started. This role involves supporting the acquisition and activation strategy, partnering with senior product leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities across sign-up, onboarding, trial, activation, pricing and packaging, and paid conversion to improve the end-to-end conversion funnel. The Growth Product Manager will analyze customer behavior, intent, and friction across acquisition, sign-up, trial, onboarding, and conversion to uncover opportunities to improve customer experiences and business outcomes. They will develop and test onboarding, product discovery, and activation experiences that help customers understand Mailchimp's value, complete critical jobs, and reach meaningful moments of value more quickly. Additionally, the role contributes to pricing, packaging, and monetization initiatives by partnering with Product, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and other teams to test pricing, packaging, trials, offers, and merchandising experiences that improve customer value and conversion. The position also explores and implements opportunities to apply personalization and AI to growth experiences, using customer intent, behavioral signals, predictive models, and AI to improve onboarding, product discovery, recommendations, and next-best actions.

Requirements

  • Significant product management experience with deep, demonstrable expertise in growth product management, including experience across multiple stages of the customer lifecycle such as acquisition, activation, conversion, engagement, monetization, retention, and churn.
  • A proven track record of delivering measurable improvements to customer and business outcomes through product-led growth strategies, experimentation, funnel optimization, and cross-functional execution.
  • Strong command of growth fundamentals, including customer lifecycle strategy, acquisition and conversion funnels, behavioral segmentation, cohort analysis, experimentation, personalization, pricing and packaging, monetization, retention modeling, and lifetime value.
  • Experience developing or optimizing pricing, packaging, offers, or monetization strategies, with an understanding of how commercial decisions affect acquisition, conversion, retention, and customer value.
  • Exceptional analytical judgment and demonstrated ability to combine behavioral data, experimentation, customer research, and business context to size opportunities, diagnose root causes, prioritize investments, and make decisions in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience defining North Star metrics, growth scorecards, and measurement systems that connect leading indicators to longer-term outcomes such as conversion, retention, lifetime value, revenue growth, and Net Revenue Retention.
  • Experience partnering closely with Data Science and Analytics and applying segmentation, propensity models, predictive signals, experimentation, and personalization systems to improve customer experiences and business outcomes.
  • Experience applying—or a strong understanding of the potential for— AI and machine learning in growth experiences, including personalization, product discovery, recommendations, targeting, offer optimization, and customer decision support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
