About The Position

TalentPluto is building AI-native infrastructure for the future of hiring and professional representation. We help high-growth startups connect with exceptional candidates by combining recruiting expertise, proprietary technology, and AI-enabled workflows. Recruiting is our first wedge, but the long-term vision is much larger: to build a platform that helps people better represent themselves professionally, discover relevant opportunities, and navigate their careers in an increasingly AI-driven world. We are an early-stage, fast-growing team based in New York City. We move quickly, operate with high ownership, and are looking for people who want to help build a company from the ground up. TalentPluto is hiring a Growth & Operations generalist to help scale the candidate side of our business. This is a highly cross-functional role across growth, operations, product, and customer-facing work. You will help improve how candidates discover TalentPluto, how they move through our experience, and how we continue building a more scalable, technology-enabled hiring platform. This is not a traditional recruiting role. It is a builder role for someone who wants to work close to the product, close to candidates, and close to the operating system of an early-stage company. You should be excited by ambiguity, motivated by ownership, and energized by the idea of turning messy, manual, high-context work into repeatable systems.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in operations, growth, recruiting, customer-facing work, startup generalist roles, or another high-ownership environment.
Strong interest in early-stage startups, AI, marketplaces, recruiting technology, or the future of work.
Excellent communication skills and sound judgment when working with external stakeholders.
Systems-oriented mindset with the ability to spot patterns, improve workflows, and create structure.
Comfort using AI tools and curiosity about how technology can improve real-world workflows.
Strong ownership mentality and ability to execute without a detailed playbook.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities may evolve quickly.
Based in New York City and excited to work in person with a small team.

Responsibilities

Help grow and improve the candidate side of TalentPluto’s marketplace.
Own key candidate-facing workflows and ensure a high-quality experience as volume scales.
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, candidate engagement, and overall operational efficiency.
Work cross-functionally with the team on growth experiments, product feedback, and workflow improvements.
Support new initiatives across candidate acquisition, marketplace quality, and user experience.
Help create structure around ambiguous problems by building processes, playbooks, and repeatable systems.
Communicate with candidates, founders, and internal stakeholders with clarity and strong judgment.
Operate across multiple priorities in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
