About The Position

Manifest is the operating system for Main Street small businesses, offering an AI-powered learning and growth platform for SMB entrepreneurs. The platform includes an AI Companion, a KPI insights dashboard, and human expert coaching across four vertical brands: The Dog Gurus (pet care), LumariPRO (salons and suites), Impart (deathcare), and VetSuite (veterinary). Manifest aims to help small businesses thrive, as nearly half of SMBs fail within five years, despite representing 50% of U.S. GDP and nearly half of all employment. The company is currently at approximately $1M ARR and preparing for Series A readiness by January 2027. The Growth Marketing Leader will be the primary strategist and operator for customer acquisition, focusing on the pet care and Pro Beauty verticals. This role involves understanding customers, developing channel and spend strategies, refining messaging, running rapid experiments, and scaling successful approaches. The leader will collaborate with an existing execution team including a growth marketer, content marketer, and HubSpot administrator.

Requirements

  • Strategic and hands-on approach to planning and execution.
  • Experience building awareness and customer acquisition for an early-stage business, new venture, or unfamiliar brand (zero-to-one operator).
  • Experience in SMB or D2C growth, understanding how to reach individuals or small business owners (B2B enterprise-only experience is unlikely to translate).
  • Specific and data-driven with a track record of owned campaigns and channels, their results, and actions taken when performance stalled.
  • Ability to structure experiments for quick, useful signals and make fast, evidence-based decisions.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to provide frequent, concise updates on performance, risks, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in using AI to accelerate research, creative development, testing, and execution.
  • Ability to work approximately 20+ hours per week.
  • Openness to a future full-time role is welcome but not required.
  • U.S.-based remote work capability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the channel and spend plan for pet care first and Pro Beauty second, creating repeatable playbooks for additional verticals.
  • Increase qualified trial volume by 3–4x, with an immediate goal of acquiring 100 new customers by the end of October, focusing on reach and acquisition diversification.
  • Own positioning and message testing, focusing on helping small business owners manage teams and increase revenue, diagnosing messaging stalls, designing tests, and implementing winning messages quickly.
  • Test a focused set of channels including paid search, SEO, affiliate and influencer marketing, retargeting, and outbound, making evidence-based decisions on scaling, revising, or stopping initiatives.
  • Establish a disciplined testing cadence, improve measurement in an environment with imperfect attribution and an untrusted CAC, and maintain a weekly performance scoreboard.

Benefits

  • CEO who makes fast decisions
  • Existing team for execution
  • Real ownership
