About The Position

Sauna is a hybrid of AI and software standing on one shared brain. It holds your context and hands you real software built on top of it. You talk to it like a chatbot and use what it builds like an app: software for the path you repeat, AI for the edge that never repeats. Keep it to yourself, or share the brain with your team. The team behind Sauna is Wordware, a 15-person company backed by Spark Capital, Felicis, and Y Combinator with a $30M seed. This role will own demand generation, taking a stranger from never having heard of Sauna to signing up. The role involves a real budget from day one and reports directly to the founder. The focus is on making the product known, with an emphasis on paid channels initially to test messaging, creative, and positioning. The role is hands-on, requiring the individual to write copy, brief videos, buy media, and ship landing pages before hiring against proven channels. The first 30 days will focus on establishing robust measurement and analytics with the product team.

Requirements

  • Have run actual ads with your own hands, including channel selection, creative writing, budget setting, performance analysis, and optimization.
  • Understand conversion events, the importance of match rate, and the impact of broken tracking on campaigns.
  • Have taken something from unknown to known (product, newsletter, channel, community, or company) and can provide starting and ending metrics with a description of the process.
  • Be a systems thinker, able to map the entire system a job sits within and identify areas for automation.
  • Have built something that performs part of your job with a feedback loop that improves over time.
  • Write unusually well: punchy, specific, opinionated, and able to adopt different voices.
  • Know what is currently working on X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Be technical enough to ship a landing page and brief SEO work without requiring a ticket for every change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience pricing or growing a usage-based product and understanding LTV to CAC in the context of inference as a cost of goods.
  • Experience running a UGC creator program or an affiliate program at significant volume.
  • A portfolio of work that gained traction, with attached metrics.
  • Existing relationships with creators, newsletters, or AI community distribution channels.
  • Already using Sauna, or a similar tool, as part of your workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Own the top of the funnel end to end: paid on Meta and Google first, then lifecycle, then everything that compounds around them.
  • Run a creator program, building with creators and agencies to produce a high volume of fresh creatives monthly for a significant Meta budget.
  • Build an affiliate program and treat it as a real channel, including revenue share and public sign-up.
  • Build a content engine with the product itself as the subject, using Sauna to demonstrate work in public.
  • Ship programmatic SEO and AEO with an engineering partner, aiming for wider reach beyond the company's own pages.
  • Write copy for landing pages, ads, emails, posts, and video scripts.
  • Run launches end to end, covering positioning, copy, social, email, video briefs, press, and community.
  • Report weekly on the number of new people who heard about Sauna and visited, and the cost per acquisition.
