About The Position

Hera is creating a new profession in healthcare called the Hero, a dedicated care manager for families. Heroes educate, coordinate, and advocate for vulnerable populations, and the company is covered by insurance to serve every family in America. The role of Founding Growth Marketer is crucial because families often don't know this category of service exists or what to search for when they need help. This position is responsible for educating the market and meeting families in their moment of need, understanding that every interaction must build trust due to the emotionally charged nature of the services provided. The company has raised $34M from Accel and Bain Capital Ventures and has experienced significant revenue growth through partnerships with top health systems. The founding team is looking for someone to build the consumer growth engine from the ground up, deeply understanding the target audience, educating the market, owning the family demand engine across various channels, and experimenting relentlessly with originality and flair.

Requirements

  • Analytical and truth-seeking mindset.
  • Understanding of metrics and future growth channels.
  • Knowledge of unit economics and ability to make commercially sound decisions.
  • Creative and generative approach to problem-solving.
  • Obsessed with the customer, using both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ability to sit with families, listen to calls, and read messages to inform strategy.
  • Ability to hold both spreadsheets and customer stories in mind simultaneously.
  • Builder with incredible pace, thriving in ambiguity.
  • Ability to learn quickly through scrappy experiments and add rigor later.
  • Understanding that trust is the primary asset and never trading long-term trust for short-term conversion.
  • Based in NYC or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Build Hera's consumer growth engine from the ground up.
  • Deeply understand the target audience, their mental models, trigger events, communities, and hesitations.
  • Educate the market on the existence and benefits of Hera's services.
  • Find the language that makes Hera instantly understandable to families.
  • Own the full funnel: how families learn about Hera, what convinces them to trust the company, and what leads them to reach out.
  • Build and run direct-to-family channels across search, content, community, social, and more.
  • Experiment relentlessly with scrappy tests, killing what doesn't work and doubling down on what does.
  • Develop original ideas for demand generation that are authentic to Hera.

Benefits

  • Meaningful ownership in the company.
