Growth Engineer

Greenboard•New York, NY
•$140,000 - $180,000

About The Position

Greenboard is building an AI-native financial compliance operating system for RIAs, broker-dealers, fintechs, private funds, hedge funds, and other firms. The company is backed by Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Base10, and other investors, has raised over $20 million, and serves brand-name financial institutions. The Growth Engineer joins the Growth team as the technical owner of Greenboard’s go-to-market systems and revenue data. The role owns a backlog of automation, integration, and analytics projects, prioritizes the work, and delivers projects end to end. The HubSpot data model and roadmap are already in place. The position reports to the co-founder and CTO and works closely with the Head of Revenue, the primary customer for the systems and reporting built in this role. The work spans HubSpot administration and configuration, automation and data quality, call and deal intelligence, and analytics and reporting. The Growth Engineer will translate sales-process decisions into documented CRM configuration, build integrations and automated workflows, maintain revenue-data integrity, develop call-review and deal-intelligence pipelines using LLM APIs, and provide reporting and analysis for Sales leadership. This is a hands-on builder role requiring fast experimentation, strong ownership, and close collaboration with business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in growth, sales operations, GTM systems, data engineering, or analytics engineering at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Expert-level CRM administration and development experience, including HubSpot Sales Hub and Marketing Hub.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Working proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
  • Comfort with dbt, a data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Postgres, or reverse ETL tooling.
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations between a CRM and adjacent go-to-market tools, such as call intelligence, support, or marketing tools.
  • Experience building executive-facing dashboards in HubSpot’s reporting layer or a BI tool.
  • A track record of shipping systems and automation end to end, rather than only scoping them.
  • Hands-on experience building complex workflows and custom CRM objects and properties, debugging synchronization issues, and working around HubSpot limitations.
  • Experience with agentic coding.
  • Strong attention to data integrity, including versioning, testing, and documenting revenue data.
  • Ability to turn vague business questions into requirements, a data model, and a delivered report.
  • High ownership and bias to action in an early-stage environment.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain metrics, changes, and data-quality issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building with LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI for internal automation, reporting, or analysis.
  • Exposure to partner or channel sales models and their attribution challenges.
  • Experience with conversation intelligence tools such as Fireflies or Gong and their CRM integrations.
  • Background in fintech, compliance, or financial services software.
  • Experience with HubSpot Operations Hub.

Responsibilities

  • Own HubSpot as a platform, including objects, properties, picklist governance, pipelines, lifecycle stages, workflows, permissions, and native integrations.
  • Partner with the Head of Revenue to translate sales-process decisions—including stage definitions, exit criteria, qualification criteria, and forecast categories—into clean, documented HubSpot configuration.
  • Identify CRM hygiene gaps, such as missing meetings, stale deal stages, and unattached call recordings, so Sales leadership can take action.
  • Build and maintain automations for deal-stage logic, first-meeting-held and call-recording triggers, customer start-date rules, lead routing, and handoffs.
  • Own technical data hygiene, including deduplication, backfills, source reconciliation, bulk corrections, and ongoing data-quality monitoring.
  • Own the tooling and analysis behind call reviews, closed-lost investigations, and coaching data, and work with the Head of Revenue to apply findings to the sales process.
  • Build automated call-review and deal-intelligence pipelines using LLM APIs with Fireflies and HubSpot data.
  • Configure HubSpot dashboards and reports for pipeline and conversion by source and representative, bookings, activity, and forecasts.
  • Build and extend automated Slack reporting, including weekly sales report-outs and sales management and sales development reports drawing on HubSpot and Fireflies.
  • Support event and partner attribution reporting with Events Marketing and the partnerships team.
  • Respond quickly to ad hoc data questions and turn recurring questions into durable reports.
  • Prioritize and ship automation, integration, and analytics projects end to end.
  • Explain what reported numbers mean, why they changed, and where data issues exist.

Benefits

  • 401(k) with 5% company match.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Two additional PTO days for each year of service, up to 10 additional days.
