The Growth team at Range is responsible for building the acquisition engine for one of the fastest-growing RIAs in the US. This Growth Engineer role will own the technical infrastructure powering this engine, sitting at the intersection of marketing, engineering, and product. The position involves working on a variety of projects, including landing pages, experimentation frameworks, data pipelines, and ad platform signals. The work will directly impact revenue by improving conversion rates, increasing signal quality, and enabling faster iteration across the go-to-market engine. This role is based at Range’s headquarters in McLean, VA, with an in-office schedule Monday through Friday. Relocation will be a contingency for employment if not currently in the area.

Requirements

  • 5–9 years in growth engineering, web development with a CRO focus, or a similar hands-on role.
  • Strong JavaScript and SQL skills.
  • Direct experience with CRO and A/B testing, including shipping tests, owning the framework, and understanding best practices.
  • Comfort building integrations across APIs, webhooks, and tools in a modern GTM stack.
  • Familiarity with tracking implementations such as GA4, Segment or RudderStack, and server-side GTM.
  • A strong sense of ownership, with the ability to ship, iterate, and proactively identify the next problem to solve.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with React.
  • Direct experience with marketing measurement and a strong understanding of growth concepts.
  • Fintech, wealth management, or other regulated-industry experience.
  • GraphQL experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical implementations behind Conversion Rate Optimization, including building and shipping landing page experiments, signup funnels, scheduling, and lead routing.
  • Write JavaScript for dynamic content and personalized experiences, taking projects from concept to production.
  • Run the experimentation system by building and maintaining the A/B testing framework, feature flags, and targeting logic.
  • Translate funnel insights into technical implementations to improve conversion rates.
  • Build and maintain Go-To-Market (GTM) infrastructure, including architecting integrations between the website, CRM, analytics, and ad platforms.
  • Build APIs, webhooks, and automations for data transfer between systems.
  • Debug issues across various GTM tools.
