The Group Sales Manager, reporting to the Director of Sales, promotes and sells to group markets in defined geographic regions. This role generates hotel awareness through direct phone sales, direct sales calls, tradeshows, and networking groups, working closely with the Sales and Commercial team to solicit, sell, and confirm group business to meet budgeted sales goals. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to solicit group travel and requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in decision-making. An ideal candidate should embody a high commitment to service, be a strong team player, possess impeccable verbal and organizational skills, outstanding attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and the willingness to work in an extremely fast-paced environment. Applicants will be a willing team player, comfortable with technology, and willing to accept assignments on an as-needed basis to promote teamwork. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as necessary is required.
