Today, we continue that story by delivering unforgettable guest experiences rooted in history, style, and modern hospitality. We are seeking a Group Sales Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team. This role is responsible for actively driving group business for the hotel while partnering closely with Catering and Operations to ensure seamless execution once events are on property. What You Will Do As the Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating, negotiating, and managing group sales opportunities while maximizing revenue and market share. Key responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the group sales market and established client relationships
  • Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close business effectively
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • A proactive, energetic, and goal‑oriented approach to sales
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Responsibilities

  • Actively solicit and secure new group business for the hotel
  • Manage group sales activities from initial inquiry through contract execution and turnover
  • Partner with the Catering team to ensure smooth transition and successful on‑property execution
  • Generate and respond to requests for proposals while maintaining strong account ownership
  • Negotiate contracts and strategically upsell to maximize each business opportunity
  • Achieve revenue goals and market share targets set by the Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Maintain consistent prospecting activity, site inspections, and outside sales calls
  • Travel up to 20 percent annually to attend trade shows and conduct out‑of‑market sales calls
  • Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports
  • Maintain detailed records, data entry, and account documentation
  • Uphold confidentiality across all client, vendor, and internal information
  • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to support overall hotel success
