About The Position

PCH Hotels and Resorts, Inc., an independent Marriott franchisee, is hiring a Group Sales Manager for the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa. The hotel is connected to the Montgomery Convention Center and Montgomery Performing Arts Centre and has more than 340 guest rooms, a full-service European-style spa, a rooftop pool, multiple dining outlets, and the region’s largest meeting and convention space. The role focuses on group sales in a market serving group, association, and citywide events, with responsibility for developing business in a defined Midwest territory. The hotel is part of the PCH Hotels & Resorts portfolio, which emphasizes performance and hospitality.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of proactive group sales experience at a full-service or convention hotel.
• Existing relationships with Midwest meeting planners, associations, SMERF groups, and third-party intermediaries.
• Experience managing a defined geographic territory and building a proactive outreach pipeline.
• Strong negotiation and contracting skills, including rates, space, and concessions within Marriott’s Library of Clauses.
• Ability to work remotely with self-direction, plan a deployment calendar, meet weekly activity goals, and report pace.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for group business through outbound calls, solicitation blitzes, sales trips, and trade shows.
• Meet or exceed room-night and revenue goals.
• Manage and develop a defined geographic territory and build a proactive outreach pipeline.
• Negotiate and contract rates, space, and concessions within Marriott’s Library of Clauses.
• Complete business evaluations when quoting below the rate floor.
• Work remotely with self-direction, plan a deployment calendar, meet weekly activity goals, and report sales pace.
