•$240,000 - $300,000

About The Position

Onebrief is hiring a Group Product Manager to lead and develop product managers working across Onebrief and AtomEngine. The role shapes product direction, translates customer insight into priorities, and builds a team capable of making strong decisions independently. The Group Product Manager coaches experienced PMs, improves decisions across product areas, partners with Engineering and Design to deliver useful and dependable software, and remains close to customers and difficult product questions while giving PMs clear ownership. The role also helps evolve product management for an agentic future by strengthening customer understanding, problem framing, and evaluation as AI agents take on more software-building work. The Group Product Manager partners with company leadership on direction and consequential tradeoffs and owns priorities and outcomes within the team’s agreed scope.

Requirements

  • Direct experience managing product managers, including developing experienced PMs, giving difficult feedback, and improving performance.
  • A record of shaping and delivering complex software products, with clear examples of customer or business impact.
  • Strong product judgment across discovery, strategy, prioritization, and evaluation after launch.
  • Technical fluency that earns the trust of Engineering and enables thoughtful tradeoffs with Design.
  • Experience leading across multiple teams and communicating consequential decisions clearly.
  • Practical curiosity about AI agents and how they can improve product development, paired with thoughtful evaluation of their limits.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with defense customers, planning tools, simulation, or other demanding enterprise workflows.
  • Experience from an adjacent industry, coupled with strong product leadership and a commitment to learning from users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product leaders by setting expectations, coaching through live work, addressing performance gaps, supporting hiring and growth, and helping PMs build judgment and confidence.
  • Shape coherent product direction by connecting company priorities and customer needs, and deciding what to pursue, sequence, test, or defer.
  • Deepen customer understanding by working with users, domain experts, and field teams to understand operational workflows and distinguish recurring needs from individual requests.
  • Advance product management with AI agents by partnering with Engineering and Design to test discovery and development approaches, and equipping PMs to provide context, define success, evaluate results, and exercise judgment.
  • Raise product quality by making sophisticated capabilities understandable and dependable, challenging assumptions, reviewing alternatives, and balancing experimentation with customer trust.
  • Build commitment across teams by resolving dependencies and competing priorities with Engineering, Design, and Product Operations; clarifying ownership; and bringing larger tradeoffs to leadership with a recommendation.
  • Follow through on outcomes by defining success before delivery and learning from adoption, customer feedback, and business results; change course when evidence supports a different approach.
