About The Position

The Group Manager, Supply Chain Operations leads end-to-end supply chain execution to deliver operational excellence, cost efficiency, and industry-leading customer service. This role oversees supply chain operations including demand and supply coordination through Panasonic factories, inventory management, logistics and customer order management/fulfillment as well as cross-functional alignment. The position has direct accountability for supply planning and inventory as well as order fulfillment performance, ensuring accurate, timely and cost-effective delivery to customers while optimizing inventory. The role partners cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Finance, PEXNA Logistics and Panasonic Factories to align supply chain execution with business objectives and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations or logistics/distribution
  • A Leader with ability to recruit, grow, and manage a diversely located team is required.
  • Experience running a high-volume, industrial components supply chain preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), including OTC, planning and inventory management
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred
  • Strategic thinking with strong operational execution
  • Data-driven decision making and continuous improvement orientation
  • Ability to manage complex, high-impact operational challenges with speed and accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insight

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily supply chain execution across demand & supply planning, inventory procurement, supply, logistics, distribution, & fulfillment.
  • Ensure alignment across demand, supply and fulfillment priorities.
  • Manage disruptions, supply constraints and operational exceptions with proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Establish inventory strategies, targets, policies, and controls to balance service levels with cost and working capital efficiency.
  • Drive improvements in inventory turns, safety stock optimization, and excess/obsolete reduction.
  • Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure inventory visibility and alignment across distribution network and customer commitments.
  • Align demand forecasts, supply plans, and allocation decisions to support customer requirements and business priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales & Finance to ensure forecast accuracy and execution alignment.
  • Lead the end-to-end customer lifecycle from order receipt through delivery, including accuracy, validation, allocation, scheduling, fulfillment monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Manage order book, backlog, and prioritization to meet customer commitments and revenue targets.
  • Drive performance against service metrics including OTIF (on-time in full), fill rate, & order cycle time.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for customer order issues, returns, & claims, coordinating across Sales, Factories and Logistics for timely resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Drive lean, process optimization and automation initiatives across supply chain operations and order management.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce cost & enhance customer experience.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Standardize processes and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures & system controls.
  • Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing team across supply chain operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as key interface between Sales, Product, Finance, IT and other applicable partners.
  • Communicate performance, risks and opportunities to Executive Leadership and stakeholders.
