About The Position

The Group Leader is responsible for setting goals for program participants, facilitating activities, and preparing curriculum and lesson plans. The role maintains a safe and learning-focused environment for children participating in programs outside of school-day hours. The position also supports homework, assists tutors and activity specialists, and helps maintain participant records and program supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• One year of experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and multitask.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance, and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures.
• Perform safely and successfully, including meeting productivity standards.
• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures.
• Display effective communication skills.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework help, facilitate activities, and supervise children in programs outside of school-day hours.
• Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialists with managing and documenting behavior.
• Maintain supplies.
• Assist with data collection and maintain participants’ documents.
• Attend all necessary program meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
