About The Position
AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students beyond the school day. The After School Group Leader leads students through daily curriculum activities and helps create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The role involves working with children in a structured, high-energy setting and collaborating with teammates, families, and school staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
- Proof of experience as required by Oregon childcare licensing regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably 18 years of age or older.
- 240 or more documented hours of experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
- Make child safety the top priority and follow procedures closely.
- Keep the space clean and organized.
- Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
- Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
- Be flexible and ready to help wherever needed to meet program needs.
