About The Position

BrightBee connects workers with schools and afterschool partners in San Francisco. In this role, you support students in an afterschool setting, helping them learn, grow, and succeed. Available assignments and site details are discussed during the interview; being open to more sites and assignment types may increase earning potential. Assignments may be single-day or lead to longer-term opportunities. Work is available 2–5 days per week, Monday through Friday, during the afterschool hours of 1–6 p.m. The role is described as flexible, app-based work. Before working with students, candidates must complete the applicable safety clearances, including a background check and potentially Live Scan, other testing or clearances, and authorization to contact former employers. Candidates must follow the code of conduct and mandated reporter training and reporting requirements. The candidate is responsible for clearance costs; the average cost in California is around $130. Assignments may require lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

At least 48 college credits.
Experience leading large groups of students.
Pass a background check and complete required school clearances before working with students.
Comply with mandated reporter training and reporting requirements.
Some assignments may require lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities
