After School Group Leader
About The Position
AlphaBEST Education is hiring an After School Group Leader to support its extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs at Riffenburgh Elementary in Fort Collins, Colorado. The programs are designed to inspire and engage students in a fun, safe environment as they discover and learn beyond the school day. The Group Leader helps shape meaningful after-school experiences for children, leading daily curriculum activities and working with a team to help students learn, grow, and thrive. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The role offers hands-on training and experience for people exploring education, leadership, or other career paths.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must have a minimum of 460 verifiable hours of experience with children ages 4 and older.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
- Provide proof of experience as required by Colorado childcare licensing regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
- Make child safety the top priority at all times.
- Keep the space clean and organized.
- Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
- Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
