About The Position

Work with management to achieve business goals by leading day-to-day work activities in assigned area(s). Facilitate an open & fair work environment based on mutual respect, open communication, and accountability, while ensuring business goals are met or exceeded. Collaborate with other departments and shifts to balance labor with demand. Lead by example, ensuring safety practices are upheld. Perform start-up meetings to include leading stretches, communicating metrics & safety reporting, and sharing other relevant information. Utilize & maintain accountability boards/department communication boards to drive productivity, efficiency, quality, engagement, and communication. Address non-compliance issues & concerns directly with employee; bring to supervisor’s attention as appropriate. Demonstrate accessibility to employees for their support, to address concerns, and build engagement. Perform timekeeping and attendance tracking for hourly employees as directed. Assist supervisor/manager with various leadership duties, which may include interviewing candidates; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding & coaching employees; addressing complaints; solving problems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience in a distribution/logistics environment OR bachelor’s degree plus six months of experience in a distribution/logistics environment.
  • Prior experience must include coordinating or leading people and/or projects, distributing work to others, training others, or similar duties.
  • Demonstrated history of positive leadership behaviors (teambuilding, self-accountability, managerial courage, etc.)
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
  • Prior experience with BlueYonder or other WMS required.

Nice To Haves

  • RF-driven warehouse experience preferred.
  • Certification/license to use all equipment used in functional area preferred.
  • Completion of PI Change Agent Certification, or equivalent Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification preferred.
  • Prior experience with attendance tracking software preferred.

Benefits

  • Employees who work all 36 scheduled hours are paid for 40 hours.
