About The Position

Silver Spring Foods is seeking a Group Lead to take a key leadership role in their fast-growing production operations. This role is crucial for quality optimization and ensuring a well-informed, communicative, and collaborative team that meets production demands. The Group Lead will develop effective teams, share production expertise, and proactively identify and solve problems to improve operations. This position is for the 3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production demands are met so that customers receive products when they need them.
  • Develop effective teams and share knowledge to grow team capabilities.
  • Recognize issues before they negatively impact production and work to solve problems and find ways to improve operations.
  • Promote teamwork and build strong teams.
  • Walk manufacturing lines regularly to understand floor operations and build strong relationships with colleagues to optimize production.
  • Provide feedback, instruction, encouragement, and kudos to team members, modeling great leadership and inspiring positive behavior and comradery.
  • Collaborate with different personalities and colleagues across the organization.
  • Seek input from the team and other stakeholders before making decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and problem solver.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and optimization of operations.
  • Support daily operations through proper shift transitions and strong communication between teams.
  • Review job orders to determine priorities, staffing needs, and material requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and maintenance procedures are followed and documented accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently.
