Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 60 credits in early childhood education and 2 years teaching experience; OR an Associate Degree in early childhood education, and 6 years teaching experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a childcare or daycare setting
- Knowledge of child development and classroom management techniques
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must meet all DOE-DOH clearance requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and actively engage with children throughout the day
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Supervise and monitor children at all times to ensure health and safety standards are met
- Support children’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain positive and professional communication with parents, staff, and administration
- Complete daily reports, incident reports, attendance records, and required documentation accurately and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with DOE-DOH regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Promote teamwork and maintain a positive learning environment
