About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Group Facilitator for its detox and residential treatment facility in South Bend, Indiana. Avenues operates addiction treatment programs including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services, using an evidence-based clinical curriculum and individualized care. The Group Facilitator conducts therapeutic and educational groups, supports clients in developing recovery skills, collaborates with clinical staff, and completes required documentation and charting.

Requirements

• Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in Indiana.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Strong presence, sound judgment, and experience running groups.
• Warm, dignified, and honest character that inspires trust and models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to address each client's challenges and needs.
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress.
• Escalate significant client concerns to the Clinical Director.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
• Ensure clinical assessments and individual client charting are completed.
