About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a full-time Group Facilitator for its detox and residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role involves conducting group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups tailored to clients’ needs and challenges. The facilitator helps clients build healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools, while coordinating with clinical staff to monitor client challenges and progress. The position also includes escalating significant concerns to the Clinical Director and maintaining group-session documentation and client clinical records.

Requirements

• Current Indiana clinical license or addiction counseling credential: CADAC I–V, LAC, LCAC, LMHC, or LMFT.
• Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in Indiana.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Strong presence and sound judgment.
• Warm, dignified, and honest character that inspires trust and models recovery principles.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client’s challenges and needs.
• Help clients develop healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress.
• Escalate significant client concerns to the Clinical Director.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
• Ensure clinical assessments and individual client charting are completed.
