The Group Director, OOH Solutions is a pivotal senior leadership role driving the strategic vision, commercial success, and growth of WPP Media's Out-of-Home (OOH) Solutions practice. This role holds significant multi-million dollar revenue accountability, leading a dedicated team of up to 4 OOH professionals, including Associate Directors and Managers. The Group Director ensures the delivery of innovative OOH strategies, fosters key vendor partnerships, and provides critical team stability. This position requires exceptional strategic acumen, P&L management experience, and deep expertise in the evolving OOH landscape.

Requirements

  • College or University degree in a related field (Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Media Buying/Planning, with significant leadership in Out-of-Home (OOH).
  • Proven track record of managing and developing senior teams (up to 4 direct reports, including Associate Directors and Managers), demonstrating ability to stabilize and elevate talent.
  • Demonstrated P&L management experience, with direct accountability for significant multi-million dollar revenue streams.
  • Deep and current expertise across the OOH landscape (traditional, digital, programmatic, measurement), coupled with a profound understanding of the vendor ecosystem and commercial deal mechanics.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into innovative and commercially viable OOH media solutions.
  • Polished communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, essential for client engagement and strategic partner negotiations.
  • Experience in new business pitches, including pricing strategy.
  • Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, capable of overseeing multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel may be required as dictated by the needs of clients and the business
  • Advanced PC skills, including all Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic roadmap for WPP Media's OOH Solutions, driving its evolution, identifying new opportunities, and leading the strategic shift to Flex model growth.
  • Accountable for significant multi-million dollar revenue streams, including leading OOH components of new business pitches (and pricing strategies) to ensure commercial success.
  • Cultivate executive-level client relationships as a trusted advisor and manage strategic OOH vendor partnerships and commercial agreements to ensure optimal value and leverage.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of up to 4 direct reports (including Associate Directors and Managers), providing critical strategic guidance and fostering team stability.
  • Oversee the strategic direction and execution standards for all OOH campaigns, championing advanced capabilities like programmatic and data-driven planning across the group.
  • Manage the OOH Solutions P&L, including month-end reporting, quarterly forecasting, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Represent WPP Media as a thought leader in OOH, collaborating across WPP's network for integrated solutions and promoting industry best practices.
