About The Position

The Groundsperson works on a General Tree Care crew to provide high-quality tree care to clients. The role supports pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree-care work while safely operating equipment and completing assigned tasks. Team members work outdoors at properties in their community and provide excellent client service, helping maintain and preserve the health of clients’ landscapes. The position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Compensation is $20–$28 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Experience with proper pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and working knowledge of their characteristics.
• Experience with tree-care safety standards.
• Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• CDL.
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck).
