About The Position

The Groundsperson performs routine labor involved in grounds maintenance and construction to help create a world-class guest experience at the property. The role involves working outdoors, collaborating with team members, maintaining turf and planted areas, supporting irrigation and equipment maintenance, and assisting with special projects and other departments as needed. The position also includes housekeeping duties in the Maintenance facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment to mow specified areas.
• Water and fertilize turf areas and plants.
• Grade and prepare soil and plant beds, lay sod, plant vegetative material, and assist with turf cultivation practices.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Perform labor duties including string trimming, edging, pruning, top-dressing, hazard maintenance, divot repair, and drainage tasks.
• Support irrigation maintenance, including irrigation head and valve trimming, PVC pipe repairs, head leveling, and minor electrical tasks.
• Operate mechanical loaders to move soil, debris, and other materials.
• Support the mechanic with lubrication and minor equipment service repairs.
• Participate as support staff on special projects.
• Report abnormalities on the golf course, including damage, disease, insects, and debris.
• Support other departments as needed and when opportunities arise.
• Assist with housekeeping duties in the Maintenance facility.
