About The Position

At Moon Valley Nurseries, you will play a versatile role in supporting various aspects of nursery operations and customer service. Your responsibilities will include performing a range of tasks such as equipment maintenance, yard organization, and customer assistance. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the retail yard. The role involves performing manual labor to assist with the maintenance, storage, and fulfillment of customer orders in the landscape nursery. Tasks include transporting and mixing soil, fertilizer, and other soil conditioning materials using hand tools, as well as digging, raking, and sifting soil. This is a full-time position with open availability for day shifts, including weekdays and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with operating power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with organizing and maintaining the nursery yard to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive appearance.
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on nursery equipment, including vehicles, forklifts, and hand tools.
Assist with loading and unloading plants, trees, and other nursery products into a variety of vehicles.
Provide friendly and helpful customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks in yard such as, proper lifting techniques, operating equipment, handling merchandise, and ensuring a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
Demonstrated availability to work any day of the week.
Perform manual labor to assist with the maintenance, storage, and fulfillment of customer orders in the landscape nursery.
Transport and mix soil, fertilizer, and other soil conditioning materials using hand tools.
Dig, rake, and sift soil to fill buckets and boxes for planting.
