About The Position

At Moon Valley Nurseries, you will play a versatile role in supporting various aspects of nursery operations and customer service. Your responsibilities will include performing a range of tasks such as equipment maintenance, yard organization, and customer assistance. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the retail yard. The role involves performing manual labor to assist with the maintenance, storage, and fulfillment of customer orders in the landscaping nursery. This includes transporting and mixing soil, fertilizer, and other soil conditioning materials using hand tools, as well as digging, raking, and sifting soil to fill pots and boxes for planting. The position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 75 lbs. The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind. This is a full-time position and may be scheduled between weekdays and weekends. Requirements

Ability to perform manual labor.
Previous experience with operating power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
Ability to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Subject to MVR and criminal background check in accordance with applicable fair chance laws, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist with organizing and maintaining the nursery yard to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive appearance.
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on nursery equipment, including vehicles, forklifts, and hand tools.
Assist with loading and unloading plants, trees, and other nursery products into a variety of vehicles.
Provide friendly and helpful customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks in yard such as, proper lifting techniques, operating equipment, handling merchandise, and ensuring a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
Realizar labores manuales para ayudar en el mantenimiento, almacenamiento y cumplimiento de pedidos de los clientes en el vivero de paisajismo.
Transportar y mezclar tierra vegetal, fertilizante, turba y otros materiales para acondicionar el suelo, utilizando herramientas manuales.
