About The Position

The Groundskeeping Associate helps maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas in the community. The role performs mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, seasonal maintenance, and general upkeep of walkways and parks. It helps ensure outdoor spaces are safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for residents and visitors, supporting the company’s purpose of bringing people together in their neighborhoods.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be organized and efficient, and able to recognize the quality standards needed to keep facilities looking their best.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, managers, and peers.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Ability to walk for long periods to inspect and maintain grounds.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings, trainings, or events.
Ability to operate a vehicle to perform certain job functions.

Responsibilities

Maintain the condition of roads and walkways in the community’s common areas.
Pressure wash and blow sidewalks, curbing, roads, and common spaces regularly.
Assist with upkeep and maintenance of sports fields and the surrounding complex.
Regularly remove garbage from roadways, sidewalks, fields, and bleachers.
Maintain drainage grates and remove blockages immediately to ensure they function.
Operate according to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Perform mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, seasonal maintenance, and general upkeep of walkways and parks.
