Groundskeeping Associate
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Groundskeeping Associate to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor spaces and provide a welcoming environment for patients, employees, and visitors. The role provides primary grounds maintenance and upkeep in all seasons across hospital campus grounds and parking areas, helping ensure a safe environment for all customers. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on either a 4:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. schedule. Winter on-call availability is required for 24/7 response during snow events.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to use a computer to process work orders and email.
- Current, valid motor vehicle operator license and ability to meet and maintain insurability.
Nice To Haves
- Previous lawn services and arbor care experience, including demonstrated training in snow removal operations.
- Knowledge of lawn irrigation systems and basic repair techniques.
- Knowledge of basic auto repair and/or ability to work with sheet metal.
