Groundskeeping Associate
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Groundskeeping Associate to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor spaces, creating a welcoming environment for patients, employees, and visitors. The role provides primary grounds maintenance and upkeep in all seasons across hospital campus grounds and parking areas, with the goal of ensuring a safe environment for customers. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with either a 4:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. schedule. Winter on-call availability is required for 24/7 response during snow events.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to use a computer to process work orders and email.
- Current valid motor vehicle operator license and ability to meet and maintain insurability.
Nice To Haves
- Previous lawn services and arbor care experience.
- Demonstrated training in snow removal operations.
- Knowledge of lawn irrigation systems and basic repair techniques.
- Knowledge of basic auto repair and/or ability to work with sheet metal.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary grounds maintenance and upkeep in all seasons for hospital campus grounds and parking areas.
- Maintain outdoor spaces to ensure a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for patients, employees, visitors, and other customers.
- Respond on call during winter snow events, with availability for 24/7 response.
