About The Position

The Part-Time Groundskeeper / Porter maintains the appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of the property and helps prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents. The role supports a clean, safe, and welcoming community and assists the maintenance team with other duties as assigned. The position is on-site in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is part-time and non-exempt, and is expected to work approximately 20–24 hours per week. The typical schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Additional hours and on-call emergency response may be required as needed.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of groundskeeping, maintenance, porter, handyman, or related experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of residential property maintenance.
• Experience or aptitude in carpentry, plumbing, painting, or general handyman work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of outdoor common areas, walkways, parking areas, and amenity spaces.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments for new residents.
• Perform light maintenance, including replacing light bulbs and completing minor plumbing or electrical repairs.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Support the maintenance team with other duties as assigned.
• Participate in on-call emergency response as needed.
