About The Position

The Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall upkeep of the property grounds and common areas at Mustang Village. The work is primarily conducted outside and may involve exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions, higher noise levels, certain chemicals, pollens, and other allergens. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior groundskeeping, landscaping, or related work experience.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time; use hands and fingers; speak, see, and hear; reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull; lift up to 25 pounds; walk and climb stairs; and think, concentrate, and communicate.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Pool Operator designation, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings and common areas free of debris and trash, including areas visible to students and parents.
• Repair fences, gates, walls, and walkways.
• Paint fences and outbuildings.
• Clean out drainage, ditches, and culverts.
• Perform groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking.
• Make minor repairs to maintenance equipment.
• Notify the supervisor of hazardous conditions and safety issues.
• Assist with inclement weather needs, including floods, snow, and ice.
