About The Position
Long Prairie Packing, an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for a Groundskeeper at our Long Prairie, MN plant. This role involves performing general lawn care, moving and storing equipment, and general housekeeping tasks within warehouses and storage areas. The position also includes any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the maintenance supervisor. This description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food defense.
Responsibilities
- Perform general lawn care that includes mowing grass, spraying weeds, picking up trash.
- Move and store equipment in warehouses and other areas on the property.
- General housekeeping includes cleanup of warehouses and other storage areas, sweeping, organizing warehouse items.
- Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
