About The Position

The Groundskeeper at New Orleans RV Resort & Marina is responsible for landscaping and maintaining the resort’s grounds and shared spaces to company expectations, keeping the property clean, presentable, and well maintained while providing quality customer service. The role also includes upkeep of buildings, sidewalks, the pool area, and company-owned rental units, along with reporting grounds or maintenance concerns to management. Duties and responsibilities may change, and other tasks or special projects may be assigned.

Requirements

At least 1 year of groundskeeping experience.
Customer service experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English well enough to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and coworkers.
Motivation and dedication to serving customers and doing a job well.
Proficiency with various hand tools and power equipment.
Must live within commuting distance of the property.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically.
Ability to work outdoors in changing environmental conditions throughout the year.
Ability to safely handle and use equipment necessary for the role.
Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain facility grounds for cleanliness and upkeep according to company expectations.
Report grounds or maintenance concerns to management.
Mow lawns, treat weeds, trim trees and hedges, and perform other landscaping as requested by management.
Maintain onsite buildings, sidewalks, and pool areas, including painting and power washing.
Collect yard waste and trash, remove debris, clean building facilities, and empty common-area trash containers.
Maintain the swimming pool and pool area.
Dispense propane as needed.
Clean and repair company-owned rental units as needed.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
