About The Position

This position maintains grounds and facilities as assigned by cleaning, mowing, trimming, weeding, sweeping, trash collecting, code green processing and snow/ice control. This position also performs minor repairs of grounds and equipment. The incumbent for this position is responsible for the safe and efficient use of department equipment and for minor maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

Requires at least 2 years of experience in the field or related area.
High school diploma or equivalency certificate is required.
Valid Driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

General knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers used in landscaping and turf systems.
General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems.
Ability to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools.

Responsibilities

Operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility’s property.
Perform routine cleaning, project cleaning (mopping, spot cleaning, signage/light fixtures/vents, etc.), minor repairs, snow removal, scrap removal, and preventive maintenance.
Assist facilities in demolition, concrete, asphalt and other construction projects.
Responsible for the proper cleaning, storage and maintenance of department equipment.
Perform all landscaping duties (e.g., pruning, irrigation, raking, planting, weeding, etc.).
Assist in the movement of office equipment and furniture & event set-ups when required.
Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in a professional and ethical manner.
Learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino industry.
Maintain excellent customer and employee relations skills.
Utilize verbal communication skills.
Operate company equipment and vehicles.
