About The Position

The Groundskeeper is responsible for performing necessary skills and demonstrating knowledge relating to the grounds maintenance department to provide a positive guest experience. This role involves maintaining both interior and exterior plant life, landscaping, and general upkeep of the property buildings and grounds.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 6 months - 1 year experience in landscape maintenance both exterior and interior
Must possess a basic knowledge of plant material, turf, pruning and fertilization of outdoor landscape materials and landscape equipment used
Must possess a basic knowledge of interior plant material use and care
Must possess knowledge of irrigation systems and controls
Must possess basic understanding of forklift operations and sweeper operations
Must be capable to work in extreme outdoor conditions
Must be safety conscious
Must possess attention to detail and follow written instructions
Must be able to work as a team player to accomplish goals of the engineering department
Must be able to read and write English and be able to effectively communicate with external guests and internal guests

Responsibilities

Interior maintenance of plant life throughout the Hotel & Casino
Plants and trims lawns, trees, bushes, hedges, and shrubs using hand tools or motorized vehicles
Landscapes new ground areas, repairs damaged ground areas, replaces bushes, hedges, shrubs, and trees
Cleans grounds and removes litter
Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds which includes cleaning and removing of trash
Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company
All other duties as assigned
