About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains the grounds of Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe in a safe, neat, and aesthetically attractive condition. The role also provides professional, personalized guest service consistent with the Company’s brand standard and K.E.E.P. core values: Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity. The position assists with coordinating, supervising, and performing grounds maintenance, including assigning and inspecting work performed by the ground crew. It operates groundskeeping equipment and responds to emergencies as needed. The work involves varied environmental conditions, including occasional outdoor work in all weather, and may include exposure to smoke, noise, crowds, vibration, and temperature changes. Physical activities include extended periods of standing and walking, as well as bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and regularly moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The stated pay range is USD $17.00–$19.00 per hour. The position does not earn tips.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21.
No education or prior experience is listed as required.
Basic reading and arithmetic skills.
Ability to speak and understand English.
Ability to communicate verbally effectively.
Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
Ability to move throughout the hotel, including standing, walking, kneeling, and bending for extended periods.
Ability to sit for extended periods.

Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, balance, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk frequently for distances of up to 500 feet during a shift.
Ability to stoop and reach frequently.
Ability to work in varying conditions involving cold, heat, noise, crowds, smoke, and vibration.
Ability to work outdoors occasionally in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating, supervising, and participating in property grounds maintenance.
Assist in assigning duties to the ground crew, participate in the work, and inspect completed tasks.
Assist in emergencies as needed.
Observe health hazards and warnings.
Operate equipment such as mowers, edgers, and tractors.
Follow supervisor directions and perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Maintain positive and cooperative working relationships and demonstrate teamwork.
Complete assignments promptly, thoroughly, accurately, and efficiently.
Meet attendance standards and follow absence notification procedures.
Provide complete and accurate information in the conduct of business.
Maintain confidentiality in the conduct of business.
Comply with company policies and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Follow the daily work schedule and use time effectively.
