About The Position
Morgan Properties is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team at our 291-unit apartment community in Pittsburgh, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment and enjoys working outdoors while making a positive impact on the resident experience. As a Groundskeeper, you'll play an important role in maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of the community while supporting the maintenance team in delivering an exceptional living experience for our residents.
Requirements
- A dependable, team-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a beautiful community.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Previous groundskeeping, porter, janitorial, housekeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of community grounds by removing trash and debris daily.
- Sweep sidewalks, walkways, and common areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Assist with landscaping duties, including watering trees and shrubs, trimming vegetation, and maintaining curb appeal.
- Support apartment turns by assisting with trash-outs and preparing vacant homes for new residents.
- Clean common areas including hallways, stairwells, lobbies, restrooms, clubhouse spaces, and other shared amenities.
- Assist the maintenance team with make-ready projects and housekeeping needs as required.
- Replace light bulbs and replenish restroom supplies throughout the community.
- Help keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Distribute resident communications when needed.
- Respond to snow removal, salting, and other weather-related or emergency situations as necessary, including occasional overtime.
- Maintain a professional appearance, follow all safety procedures, and help ensure the security of the community.
